Confidence is extremely important in our life journey. It could be a determining factor in whether you would succeed or not. Unfortunately, people think competence is all that matters, but the truth is that without confidence, competence can fail. Someone who isn’t competent can stand out because of their confidence. Courage is what makes you stick out your head in public and defend your competence although, this does not mean you have to support a false notion. Confidence drives you to strive to learn new things; it makes you identify areas you need improvement. The good news is that confidence can be developed through practice. You can make it a part of your personality, and it will, in return, affect your inner resolve.
In the business world, things are not always consistent. It may be all rosy today and then turn out to be full of thorns the next day. Challenges and obstacles are part of every being’s life, but what matters most is how you handle them. Your ability to turn your problems into your strength makes you stand out and conquer all challenges. Only those with inner strength can do this, so the question is this-how strong is your inner resolve?
How strong is your inner resolve?
Inner resolve simply refers to your determination, purpose, or firmness. There are effective ways to develop your inner resolve. These techniques have proven to be effective and have helped a lot of people realize their true potential. First, you have to know who you are. Having doubts or insecurities about yourself is the opposite of inner strength. Understand who you are and the conditions that bring out the best in you. If you have some insecurities about your appearance, you should work on being comfortable in your own skin; this is where your confidence journey starts.
Secondly, learn to have quiet time, and how to stay away from distractions surrounding you. If you are the kind of person that prefers your environment noisy and crowded, you need to work on this. Ground-breaking ideas are, most times, conceived in solitude. It may not be easy because you may have become used to the chaos. You can start by setting aside an hour each week, as you progress, you can increase the time till you can eventually do about 14 hours a week.
Ensure you begin each day feeling energetic.
How you spent your night determines how your next day would be. You should ensure you get all the available happiness and rest. Stay around people that make you happy, sleep well at night, and ensure your home is indeed a home for you. You may not have known that all of these affect how you react or handle challenges. Settle every relationship or marriage issue you are having so they do not interfere with your life or thought process. In addition to this, you should only hang around people that motivate and push you to do better.
If you are always around people that regularly talk you down, you will unconsciously begin to act the way they describe you. If the words you keep hearing are “You cannot do this, you will not succeed” you will begin to see only the impossibilities surrounding you such that you will miss out the possibilities that would transform your life.
Most importantly, learn to plan your time and routine. You could have all the plans in the world, but your inability to plan your time could make all the plans go wrong. Make sure you plan each day and allow discipline to make you stick to your time plan.
Finding your authentic self requires a conscious effort and patience.
It is the root of everything you do in life. You need to be valuable to yourself and the people around you, but before you can do this, you need to know who you are. Discover your weakness and your imperfections. Consciously strive to become a better person and shed off the toxic traits you possess. Nobody is perfect, but he who recognizes his faults and is willing to grow above them is near perfection. Be courageous and bold enough to take chances and try out new things.
According to the motivational speaker, Anthony Robbins, “life is continually testing our level of commitment, the greatest reward from life is kept only for those who demonstrate a strong commitment to keep acting till they achieve what they desire”.
In conclusion, only with a firm resolve and finding our true authentic self can we achieve our highest goals in life—cheers to a wonderful life ahead.
